I had GD 13 years ago when I was pregnant with my twins. Now here I am a year into type 2 diabetes at the age of 38. From what I understand the nerve damage it has caused in my legs will never get better. Why? Because for years I didnt know I had it. Get checked every few years because your chances of developing it after that are much greater.
